Lâu ngày ko update, mấy hôm rồi mới biết đã có H265 encoder nên tớ cũng tò mò đi test thử.

Encoding tool: MeGUI 2467
Test CPU: Core i3-3110M (2.4GHz, 4 threads)
Tested on x265 and x264 8bit at crf16 slowest setting (placebo)
+ x265: --preset placebo --crf 16.0 --no-ssim --no-psnr --output "output" "input" (PSNR and SSIM calculations are not available for x265 at this time)
+ x264: --preset placebo --tune animation --crf 16.0 --deblock -2:-2 --keyint 300 --bframes 5 --ref 10 --no-dct-decimate --output "output" "input" (SATD Exhaustive and Full RD selected)

Sơ bộ thì thấy như sau:
- x265: khoảng 39 phút cho 178 frames (avg speed ~ 0.11fps)
- x264: khoảng 4 phút rưỡi cho 178 frames (avg spd ~ 1fps)
=> x265 lâu hơn x264 khoảng 9 lần về thời gian encode
- Size: x265 cho file nhỏ hơn 9% so với x264 khi encode ở crf16
Coi sơ thì thấy 2 vid chất lượng tương đương nhau, còn về chi tiết từng frame thì hiện tớ chưa test được vì ffmpeg chưa support h265, MPC-HC 1.71 thì play được với LAV filter 0.61, tuy nhiên seek frame ko chính xác nên ko thể dùng để so sánh screenshot được. Có gì tớ sẽ đợi đến khi h265 được support rộng hơn rồi quay lại test vậy.
