A new one that came out is Nightshade on Steam. It has an almost similar feel to hakuouki, but it ins't as historic. There are a bunch of walkthroughs for it as well!! My favorite ơne is this one as it's very clean and detailed.

I would echo the recommendations of Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama and Nightshade, though Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama is probably closer to what you're looking for.

how about Ozmafia? It's kinda historic and has a nice plot. You can play it in English too.

Ken ga kimi is the best! I love the plot and the characters and how human they were. Tsuzuramaru with his ditzyness is my favourite My overwhelming feeling of loss aside, I would recommend, say code realise is very good, Wand of fortune too. The fandisk of ken ga kimi, momoyo tsuzuri is also pretty great, in which all the back story is revealed and there is some more teasing from Iemitsu. There is also jyuuzaengi which I am also currently playing, and I am finding it quite interesting. Good luck and have fun!
