The final book of NisiOisiN's Monogatari Series: Off Season, Musubimonogatari, which was released on January 12, has revealed that a new set of books under Monster Season will be released this year starting with Shinobumonogatari.

Monogatari Series: Off Season is a Monogatari Series: First Season substory written by NisiOisiN and illustrated by VOFAN. It consists of four books containing side stories that take place throughout the series' timeline.

The Monogatari series is a set of light novels that has been adapted into multiple anime adaptations by studio Shaft. The latest adaptation was a theatrical release of Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen, which screened on January 6 in Japan. Vertical Inc. has been publishing the first few novels in English with the second volume of Bakemonogatari to be shipped on February 28 and the first volume of Nisemonogatari on June 27.
