I have always loved romance in games, starting from Dragon Age Origins. If you ask why, then the answer is - this is my way to compensate for the lack of romance and adventure in my real life. And not only this, such games give a possibility to live through many stories, many of which would be impossible in the real life.

MidoriAmatoya, I can't be more agreed. That's a really excellent answer. Anyway, mi first really love was Alistair. He is the perfect man, I think. When he give you the rose... OH GOD!!! Nose bleeding!!!:75: And he is so perfect and pure, a really knight. I think that otomes are another way of live a romance with mans with uniques and (why not?) almost impossibles personalities. T-T

Anyway, mi first really love was Alistair.

Mine too. I still remember the heartbreak in the end when one of us either had to die or agree to the dark ritual with Morrigan. No matter what you chose, completely happy end was impossible. There was also a touching moment that if you romanced Alistair and took him to the final battle with you without performing the ritual, he always sacrificed himself for you, even if he was going to become a king and broke up with you prior to this because you weren't a noble woman and couldn't marry him.

Well said. Indeed, most of the characters I fell in love with were too perfect to exist in the real life. Also, could belong to a nonexistent race (or even be an alien), have magical abilities and etc. Really, otome games provide many opportunities which would be normally impossible.

Mình chơi Otome vì ngán ngôn tình (thiếu cốt truyện mới lạ trầm trọng khoảng cả năm nay rồi). Giai đẹp thì chắc mình ngắm được 1 phút rồi quên bẵng mất mà lo chăm chăm đọc chữ thôi.

Nếu như coi anime, đọc manga hay cả ngôn tình đều chỉ có một cái kết và cua được một anh, nam phụ bị bỏ quên. Nhưng chơi otome có thể cua bất cứ trai nào mình muốn, nhiều lựa chọ, nhiều cái kết

I died for Alistair. XD I knew it that the decisions in the end with him don't have happy ending for anyone... But at least, I wanted a happy ending for Alistair. So... I sacrificed myself and kill the dragon. For me Morrigan was a great friend... I like his personality... But I can't stay passive and see her take the baby with Alistair or my baby with him... So... Anyway, she dissapears and was painfull. And then you need to decide with Alistair. I prefer to died.:129:

Hi, I want to share my reasons for playing otome games for so long in my life time
it's simply because in my real world, sometimes I can't get the love I want from the people around me, or if I get lonely, somehow playing otome with sweet routes can make my heart feel better.

That's why I also don't like to get the bad endings in otome, usually I just play to get the happy ending and that's all :79:
