I don't read a lot ò manga so my list will be kinda limited

My favorite so far are Koe no Katachi, and Tsukihime.

Right now I'm reading Nise Koi.

"God Lies" easily ranks amongst my favourite short series. Overall, the story was reminiscent of the movie "Stand by me". Life goes on even if the world is painted bright blue from afar and cynical and more than a little screwed up on on closer inspection, even for grader schoolers. The two main characters Natsuru and Rio seem to fill the adult role better than their own parents. The outcome of the story is deeply satisfying to see and because of it's length/timespan in the manga, it is perhaps more poignant than "Immortal Rain".

Nothing is farfetched in "God Lies" and it portrays a realistic albeit highly cynical "life experience" for its protagonists with clean, beautiful panels and good dialogue.

Without a doubt the most touching and beautiful manga I have ever had the pleasure to read.

It's such a gloriously simple premise - A poor young girl lives day to day looking after her little brother on next to nothing, due to absent parents. She's befriended by a young boy, her classmate, and a big fan of football/soccer.

The sheer realism is what makes it for me. It's extremely believable and grabbed me from the go. It's the most I've ever felt for a character, the little girl's struggles... god damn. Despite being so very tragic and making a genuinely say "fuck no..." at some points, it maintained a positive vibe and gave an extremely satisfying ending.

I cried for the first time in years. And I wasn't even sure if I was sad. It was so damn beautiful.

Koe no Katachi - A Silent Voice

I am going to finish this review reinforcing the greatest aspects of the manga, because I am pretty sure I said it by some point. This manga gathers amazing characters with dense, significant and touching themes and messages resulting in a very emotional piece of art, the most emotional I have ever read, I dare say, because if there is one thing ever present in this work is feelings, they being happy or sad feelings, reading Koe no Katachi will make you feel. That is why I love it.

Onanie Master Kurosawa

"Any change, even a change for the better, is always accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts.". How true is this statement by Arnold Bennett? Before that, can people truly change? Someone who is evil today can really turn into a good person tomorrow? And if it's possible, just how much pain and suffering do we have to go through in order to set things right, in order to change? This manga offers us possible answers for these questions in a rather amazing and unique way.

Onani Master Kurosawa is basically a story about redemption. It is one of my favourite mangas even though it is a doujinshi and I've read it twice before writing this review. It is impossible not to give out this one big spoiler that it has, in fact you can probably figure it out just from its synopsis and its ranking. That spoiler is obviously that the story is not a simple parody, but, in fact, gets pretty serious later on.

If any manga is capable of changing my view on a character, it is this one. It does not just tell you how someone feels, it places you in the shoes of a person and allows you to understand it from their point of view. Even if you think a character will play a generally small part, they always end up coming back and influencing Kurosawa in some way. We are allowed to see every character's true thoughts, whether it be directly shown to us or revealed through Kurosawa's deductions. However, you will never feel as though you can predict a character's actions. While they surprise you, every bit of it is believable. This is what depth is all about.

Kingdom - War is never out of fashion to many kind of media but this manga excels in almost every aspect, from the angle to the setting, scale,.. The characters are very admirable and realistically portrayed.

Oyasumi PunPun - Best coming of age story i've ever read, very dark but not without its unique narration that left us with countless questions after finishing a particular event.

Vagabond - We all must have already heard of Samurai before but can we really tell how they live and the way of they see things? Vagabond is probably the perfect answer to that question.

I too find it hard to classify any "bests", but a few that I'm currently still enjoying (as they are ongoing) are Natsume Yuujinchou, Horimiya and Akatsuki no Yona.

Kimi no Iru Machi? I can't stop crying when Kazama died. Seo Kouji's usually popular about ecchi scene, but I think he's very good at describing sad moments.
