akaishiki it's a matter of perspective actually. For me personally, Russian is not that hard of a language to learn. I don't have any problems with communication so my Russian develops really fast. The only problem I have is that I am too lazy to actually learn the grammar properly. It's hard, but not too tough to master at the "enough-to-naturally-communicate" level. Many told me that Japanese is the hardest language to learn, tbh.
Fuuyumi I suppose you're not in Russia then. Just read manga/watch anime (dubbed! - it'll raise your listening skills)/read VN in Russian and you'll be as good as before in no time. The Russian manga/anime community is actually really strong. Also, feel free to talk to me in Russian.

Rackshen: I can't give you a perfect answer, but I suppose that everyone has their talent to study their favorite language. As you said, It is hard to communicate professionally, and you absolutely know that the natural conversation is a goal which everyone wants to achieve. Even if you can use your Russian in you life, it doesn't means you can use your second language to handle everything will happen from now on :quanchan:

Rackshen: yeah, I have just watched the "First Squad" in Rusian and I thought the dubbing was really good, I'll find some time to watch some more Rusian anime later too, I've been looking for some Russian games lately too :">
But typing Russian is a bit hard without the keyboard, but let's chat sometimes
I'm currently in Vietnam btw XD

currently (by accident) speak some español (Spanish) due to frequent communication with hispanic people. To my point of view, we can speed up our progress in speaking a certain language if we try to communicate with the natives in their language often...

My admiration for our 2 news friends above, it's quite a surprise for me, to be able to greet .ru here.

In the end, this peanut butter trap couldn't catch any alien, but hybrids instead =))
