Oh... I think I understand your point. But I don't like Loghain... Even if onetime I try to forgive him and let it be in my team. Leaving Duncan and King was an act coward and traitor. He have soldiers, and everyone counts with her help when the torchlight was on. Help that never come... I think that if Loghain was more loyal, he can at least try to save her king (even if I admit his more younger and inexperienced). Wathever this is just my opinion, and of course I respect the yours.

I agree that it was an act of a traitor, but disagree that it was caused by cowardice. Even Bioware admitted that Loghain would have helped the king if he thought there was a chance of saving him, but with his small group of soldiers it would be just an act of suicide which would save no one. Also, there was much more at stake than just the king's life - the whole country was at risk and Loghain believed at the time that there was no one he could count on with unifying the country against the threat and organizing its defence, so he couldn't afford himself to die along with the king, deciding to combine his skills and reputation as a warlord with Anora's political skills and influence.
Loghain was extremely loyal, only to Ferelden and King Maric, not to Cailan.

By the way, did you know that it was planned initially that Alistair could still stay in your party if you save Loghain, but the idea was cancelled later because of the lack of time? There was a dialogue between Alistair and Loghain in the game files, which was supposed to happen if you take Loghain and Alistair together to Ostagar.

I understand that many gamers who grew up with consoles may still prefer these devices. Tbh, in my impression, console owners would be rather old as they could have started out with GBA, NDS, PSP, PS1, etc. in their childhood or teenage years. In fact, a recent report showed that the majority of console owners in US are >34 years old.

Most people I know who own and still play some consoles in real life are from late twenty to early 40. However, I never let my limited knowledge about console owners become a basis to stereotype them, regardless of how they were depicted in the media.

Moreover, I see no reason why older folks can't enjoy games. Also, housewives can have hobbies as diverse as students or professionals do, which include gaming on any platforms. If they don't want to buy some consoles, I think the console quality, performance and costs for peripherals may be the main reason instead of the lack of time.

Gaming is a hobby, and I don't intend to turn it into my religion. I wouldn't say I settle for games available on platforms I have access to, but rather, I have more than enough quality games to choose from, even without consoles.

Not to mention the hype of console games were often blown out of proportion because console owners want to influence others to join them. While some Otoge exclusively available on consoles indeed have high quality, many others are supbar even if compared to the average standards of mobile Otoge. No platform is perfect, so are their games.

Above data only applies to Western games. Since we're talking about otome games, make it about Japanese players, since they're the original targets for otomes. Also, because my arguments are usually based my observation rather than hard, cold data, I often include words like "mostly" and "many", but might forget to add it because of my clumsy English. Just take it with a grain of salt and don't think that I'm trying to stereotype people by age groups and such.

My impression are based on Japanese female players whom I've interacted with on SNS. Since otome is a niche genre that's became popular 8 years ago (the age of PSP console games), most Japanese otome gamers only play otome games, and isn't familiar with other consoles. After the genre switched their primary console to PSV, and now Switch, many decided to drop the genre because they don't want to buy new console. And there can be many reasons why they're not willing to, lack of time was an example, since I'm too lazy to elaborate on things. Try taking in what you said about "console quality, performance and costs for peripherals may be the main reason instead of the lack of time", I think there's still a connection to my age group theory. Younger folks tend to overlook those things and buy consoles just to satisfy their passion for the genre, while many older people would take into accounts the things you stated and decide that buying a console is a waste of money. Age doesn't determine people's interests, but nevertheless can make people shift from one interest to another (in this case the mature heroines & young heroines), lose the passion for things they used to like, or start prioritizing other things like work, living costs...

Also you'll have to take into account that 40-and-older Japanese women don't live in the same generation as the younger (>20) ones. Yes, generation gap is a thing over here. Things that catch their interests might be different. Younger generation mostly plays on console and prefer younger protagonists, while many people from older generation don't care for consoles, choose to play mobile games, and with older, more mature plot as some would call it.

That said, my previous statements also mentioned the hardcore gamers, besides young people, among those who would invest in a console. I'm pretty sure never said that hardcore gamers cannot belong to many age groups. They always exist, but still a minority whichever age group they belong to.

P.S: It's great if you think you can enjoy a good amount of games on platforms available to you; but personally, games on widely-available platforms, especially smartphones, lacks diversity for me to fully enjoy them, even if the plot of some are decent. Just saying, I'm not here to promote console games or anything, only stating my own opinion and some insights I gathered by being in the Japanese otome fandom for several years now. Although some opinions of mine might have been a little offensive towards mobile game lovers, and I apologize for that.

I played this both. Dynamich Chord have a lot of different editions and characters. Both this both are in modern japan. You prefer this age or antique?

I've read the others' posts, and about Kuro to Kin no Akanai Kagi, have you played it yet? I've played it once, but since my Japanese is not really good (which means I'm still a very amateur in Japanese) I used an online translator, and sometimes the offline translator.. Long time no play, I forgot how to use the translator :143:

Although I played Kuro to Kin no Akanai Kagi around 1-2 years ago from now, I still remember how some part of the story circulate in my mind. The plot twists and all, especially the shocking amazing graphic (in my opinion), it's all just amazing and makes me wanna play it until the end.

p.s. I've just played one route (which is the protagonist little brother) but with 2-3 different endings using a walkthrough (because I ended up getting the bad ending on first try) :86:
