Thanks for quick response!
Is Quick Translator the one mostly used? Or other machine translators?
I have once investigated it before. I felt QuickTranslator usually simply did some lexical replacement for the phrases in ChinesePhienAmWords.txt, without changing the order of the words (I am not sure).
But I doubt is it true that Chinese and Vietnamese syntax are very similar so that translation does not require changing the sentence structure?
Well, I guess you have to be a Vietnamese to understand why QuickTranslator is kinda a bit easier for us to understand the sentences.

jichi: There are some points
- Chinese-Vietnamese have similarities because of our history.
- It's easier for us to look up for Chinese words / sentenses than Japanese.
- Quick Translator (and other Chinese machine translator) is supported by wide-range of Vietnamese communities.
- The dictionaries are various and up-to-date.

I am thinking, if I combine a Japanese-Chinese offline translator with QuickTranslator, is it possible to get reasonable Vietnamese translation from Japanese offline?

Regarding the existing Japanese-Chinese translators:
- Baidu is the best, which is online only.
- JBeijing is the best offline translator, which is not free. And there are users actively maintaining its user-defined dictionary to further improve the translation quality.
- FastAIT is the best free offline translator. It's translation quality is less good, and it is slow.

I think I might be able to use, for example, JBeijing + QuickTranslator to achieve Japanese-Vietnamese ofline translation.
But I am not able to verify the translation quality myself, since I know nothing about Vietnamese myself.

Great idea, very promising imo. We always lack a decent Japanese-Vietnamese machine translator.

Tested with Baidu + QuickTranslator, translation quality is very good.
