How do you prefer your gaming time? VN or date/life sim? There is even some with RPG elements. Wich tipe you like best?

At the begining I had no love for the date sims. Tokimeki Memorial was my enemy N:1. I had zero patience for stat rising or life sim. Yet with time preferences change. I still love good story visual novel style. But games like Tokimeki Memorial GS, Kiniro no Corda and Angelique Retour (the whole series of them) have a special place in my heart. Lately I found another gem - Koibana Days.
So, pick your poison - wich one is it for you?

I love both equally. I love gameplay but sometimes I get tired of them. Beside, dating sim do not have a good plot.
TMGS also a game have a special place in my heart ❤

Nice to meet you too.
Koibana days is not so hard. Especialy if you put more of your efforts in the gardening in the begining of the game, and fokus on no more than two guys and their favourit flowers.
From the Angelique series I love most Troi. It's beautiful, and have so many places for dates. (blush). Still haven't played Maren no Rokukishi and Tenkuu no Requiem.
I have Harukanaru Toki no Naka de Hachiyoushou, but I am afraid to try it. Haven't played otome game with RPG elements and don't know if I can handle it.

angelique Etoile is have so many places for dates, i'm happy haha
i haven't play trois. i want to trois play.
From the Harukanaru Toki no Naka de series love most Hachiyoushou.
but i know what you mean. Harukanaru Toki no Naka de is rpg elements strong.
battle is essential to increase character affection. playing take long time.
story is impressive, I wish the rpg element was a little weaker

I agree that date sims don't have much of a plot. The visual novels depend on their story to keep the player's attention, that's why they are much better in that respect. (Though there are exceptions.) I love a good story and like both types of otome game. It's just that I found my passion for gameplay reccently and I'm curious if there are other gameplay lovers :)

For VN games I like it because it really focuses on the romance while rpg/simulation games are fun but romance kind of takes the backseat to this. A game that had a perfect balance I thought was Quinrose Crimson Empire It had enough rpg element to keep it fun but still had a story.
