Preference: R18 or All Ages Otome Games?

Both for me. Really, everything depends on how the story is. Interesting or not. But I get why R18 feels so forced on the characters having *cough*intercourse*cough* with each other. Imagine being a writer making a VN with sexual innuendos with 2 to 3 hours of playthrough. And in that time, MC & Love interest HAVE to have had ...sex... xD

I don't think Ijiwaru my master is good, because the MC very annoying, she always cry whole story. The story not good for me too, i felt bored, sleepy when i play this game, and i hate all the males char, but i like art, special Lucas route, he so cute.

I've got to agree with you about the MC -.-;; Usually, I can stand MCs like her because mostly all otoge MCs are like her, but there's just something about her personality that bugs me so much... And yeah, thank gosh for Lucas's route. I like his dual persona~ (night & day Lucas <3)

All Ages. I do play +18 otome games sometimes if I like the plot, but usually all the male characters are sadists or something, and that really puts me off :/ On the other hand, some All Ages games are way too naive and don't even have kiss CGs, which isn't my cup of tea neither...

Haha, sorry xD What I meant by "mostly" is towards her personality, the fragile type that are always in need of help, not her as a whole. I admit I delivered that sentence without too much thought ^^;;

But when I grown ups, I choose R18.
but I think the best choice is the both, depend on what I want to play and see

I far prefer all ages otome games over R18 ones.

R18 games I’ve played have left a bad aftertaste with:
1) The irksome rapes (e.g. Sugar Beans’ games)
2) Mistreatment of the heroine (e.g. where she gets ‘doll-ified’ in Torikago no Marriage)
3) Kinky 3P routes (e.g. the route where the heroine is unwillingly 3Ped in Gin no Kanmuri Ao no Namida and became a man-hater who yuried with her female friend. Poor girl, can’t blame her for being traumatized. (╬ಠ益ಠ))
4) Awful, unnecessary bad ends (Vampire Sweetie)
5) Bland or poorly-written stories (Dessert Love – it was too dull for me, though the poor system probably made it far worse for me. It forced me to wait for the sentence to fully materialize on the screen before allowing me to click, and that was terribly irritating, since I finish reading the text very quickly)

^ Just to name a few of my gripes.

I did enjoy Hatsukare Ecchi – Satoru hen though. It was short, fluffy and pointless but who needs plot in this? XD It was also great that the heroine could be more domineering in certain ends. I love aggressive heroines. ;D

Yes yes totally agree! I've not tried many R18 games but Torikago no Marriage and I didn't like it.
I didn't even finish the whole game because I didn't like the "doll-ified" part for the same reason as you. *high5*

I think my vote would go to all ages otome games.
I'd prefer games with good story line (not on the dark side).
I like it to be sweet and that I am able to see the chemistry between the heroin and the guy.
Its hard to see these element appearing in R18 games (or I haven't discover a good nice r18 otome game?)
But I don't hate R18 games. Instead I would love it if it have the vanilla story that I like. (^ ^)

Both types i also like, the first r18 otome game is master, when i play this game, my nose bleed also come out bcz its really ecchi Haha but i quite ok to play~!

I think it's really sad that Japan puts so much effort in rape like???? Who's asking for this?????? Also the CGs sometimes are really focused on the heroine and not on the guys and I'm completely baffled. I came for the pecs, not the girl's boobs man.
